About a month or so ago I shot some portriats of my good friend Phil Duple. He comes and guest spots at our shop often and it was the least I could do for him. Unfortunately it took me a bit to get them edited and up, but better late than never I guess?!

My friend Caleb recently built himself up a new bike. It’s a fixed gear and it looks pretty fly. So we set up a little photoshoot yesterday and snapped some pictures of him rolling and skid stopping.

In the sewers with Corey and Liz

Yesterday I had the day off and I met up with friend and fellow photographer Corey Hale to shoot some portraits of each other and just mess around with lighting. We met up in the tunnels where I shot the photos of Jessica Ahlborn about 2 months ago. Our friend Liz accompanied us and we had a fun time down in the gross and dingy sewers. I shot a few photos and put them up on my flickr.

Hardcore to Hip Hop and back.

Last night Saints Never Surrender, Hundredth, Sergio Slayer, and Fare Thee Well all performed at Sapphire Lounge here in Columbia, MO. This was Saints first time in Columbia, and the second time around in just a few weeks for Hundredth. Both bands played amazing sets and got kids moving around. Fare Thee Well opened up with a new jam which was so sick. I over heard some people saying that they hope it’s a sign of things to come out of the FTW camp. Furthermore last night was a breath of fresh air when the hardcore stopped for a moment and gave way to Sergio Slayer, a local hip hop artist. Although he was def a far cry from a hardcore band, he fit right in no problem with the other bands performing due to his enthusiasm and energy.
Following the trend from Scouts show earlier in the week I strobbed this show as well with a Nikon SB800 and a Nikon SB600 both triggered with CLS. (For all my fellow camera nerds)
I put together a little slide show from the show last night of a few of my favorite photos, BUT UNDER THE SLIDE SHOW ARE LINKS TO INDIVIDUAL SETS FOR EACH BAND. (I put this in caps and underlined it because all too often someone complains to me about not being able to save photos from the slide shows I’ve been doing recently even though I always put links to the sets below them. Go figure.) There are many more photos in the individual sets, I just picked a few for the slide show.
