This past weekend my dad, his friend, and my girlfriend came to visit. My dad drove from New Hampshire, his friend Bob drove from Dallas, Texas, and Jasmine flew into KC from Las Vegas. On top of all of that our friend Eric came to town to get tattooed and hang out for a night. It was a good time and I wish it didn’t have to end. I went on a bike ride with my dad and Bob and realized I’m probably not cut out for long distances on a road bike. Jasmine got tattooed by Gabe for 10 hours and got a sweet koi on her thigh. It was a good weekend, I wish every weekend was this good.

Some friends were hanging out last night, drinking beers/sodas outside our friend’s Lee, Dan, and Justin’s house. I decided to enjoy the nice weather myself and bring my camera and a single light set up to goof off with while we were taking in the late night.

Jasmine Visits Part 1

My girlfriend is here to visit for the week. I’m way stoked. Tuesday we put down the deposit on our apartment. I’ll be moving into it in July and she’ll be moving here by October. Wednesday we went to the lake, and yesterday we went to the Devil’s Icebox, went out to eat with my mom, and then went out with some friends from the shop. Here’s some photos from yesterday.

So last night I went to my friend’s Corey, Sam, and Chase’s place for a “Party In The USA” theme party. They had a DJ and shit got real wild. After the party I headed back downtown to my apartment where a raging after bars party was taking place. More photos and links to the sets after the link…

Oktoberfest 2009

This man is my good friend Chukwuma Nwaomah, but we just call him “Chux” (pronounced Chooks).If there is one thing my man Chux is good at, that’s getting a party started. It was hard to pick the header photo for this update, because quite frankly I had so many I really enjoyed, but I finally settled on this one, because I felt it really just captured the energy of what exactly happened on Saturday. For anyone confused as to what’s going on here’s the basic run down.
Every October the town of Hermann, MO, a small quiet town known for it’s wineries and rich in German heritage, hosts Oktoberfest. One Saturday out of the month we get on buses around 10-11am and begin partying. We arrive in Hermann about an hour later and party all day at the wineries, then head home on the buses again. That’s just the basic run down, to really truly understand and appreciate it all you really just have to be there. I tried my best again this year to document it all, and I’m really happy with how a lot of the photos came out. More photos after the jump.

About a week ago my good friend’s Jesse and Heather celebrated their 10 year anniversary. I unfortunately couldn’t make it for the whole celebration, but made it in time to catch a couple photos of everyone hanging out in the hot August afternoon sun. -
