Friday night our friend Sean Baltzell from Iron Age Studio in STL, and his lovely girlfriend Sara, came to Columbia to hang out. Saturday he rolled into Iron Tiger and tattooed some friends and hung out, then we all rolled over to Gumby’s to eat some pizza and wings.
So last minute the night of the 3rd we found out our boy Klipa was coming to town with a band he was on tour with called Surroundings. Klipa hails from the port city of Baltimore and used to play guitar in Trapped Under Ice. So the plan was they would crash at my crib and hang out the next day and get some tattoos at our shop, Iron Tiger, before they headed off to STL for their show. Soon after plans were made, our boy Justice from Trapped Under Ice told us they had the day off on the 4th and were gonna roll into town late on the night of the third and hang out on the 4th and were hoping to get tattooed as well. On top of all of this my boy Kyle Markiewicz (from Iron Age Studio in STL) rolled into town to hang out and lace up some tattoos. Easter Sunday may not have been spent with family, but it was spent with a bunch of old and new friends. Couldn’t complain really at all.
And although this pic was from like a week earlier, I feel the need to display it. Gabe making it rain on our boy Jef Wright.
Last month I went with 5 tattooers from our shop to the Real Deal Tattoo Convention in Kansas City. I worked the counter and helped out while they tattooed all day and night. I shot a few pics when I had the chance.
Today I hung out with my friend Brooke again. We went and checked out the nature trails out by the Devil’s Icebox. After the Devil’s Icebox we picked up Laura and then Brooke got tattooed at Hollywood Rebel Tattoo by my boy Gabe Garcia. Brooke wasn’t as shocked today when I started shooting pictures of her, and she looked gorgeous. We had a ton of fun like always, and I can’t wait for the next photo adventure.

Well first and foremost, my mom, aka Mavis, got her first tattoo the other day from my boy Gabe. She handled getting tattooed way better than I do haha. Go mom! I put the pics in my “Randoms ’09″ album on flickr. You can check them out below or click the link under the photos to go to the Randoms ’09 album and see all the photos in the set.
Last night I shot some photos of my friends in Scouts, they played at The Blue Note here in Columbia. My friend Justin Scott was there. Justin also shoots Nikon and we used both our strobes with CLS to strobe the show. The shots came out pretty cool, I just wish I would have had a little more room between the barrier and the stage.
