Last night I shot photos of a killer lineup at Fubar in STL; Terror, Grave Maker, Naysayer, and Foundation. I hadn’t seen Terror in almost 4 years, and was way amped to see them and finally shoot photos of their set. Foundation never disappoints live, and it was my first time seeing Grave Maker and Naysayer, and they both killed it as well.

Can I just state that I literally hate shows with more than 4 bands for one main reason, I take too many photos and it takes forever to narrow them down and edit the ones I like. 7 Bands played the night of the 22nd, and I am just now getting the photos up. I posted a few below, go to my flickr for all the photos.

Last night I took pictures of Nothing to Nothing, Fare Thee Well, Expire, Life Won’t Wait, Everything Went Black, and Landlocked at the Orr St studios. The show was a ton of fun and a lot of people came from all over for it.

This past weekend I went on tour with Nothing to Nothing. Thursday night was in STL with Have Heart, Cruel Hand, Foundation, and Everything Went Black. Friday was in Des Moines where we met up with Rattletooth. Lost Hope and Ancestors also played that show. From Des Moines we made our way to Milwaukee where Agress jumped on the tour. Agress, Rattletooth, Nothing to Nothing all killed it and we had a nice break with some acoustic smoothness from Mike M. After that we crashed in Chicago for the night at our good friend Zach’s (ex-Take Control, Expire). The last date of tour was in Springfield Illinois. Commodity, Agress, Nothing to Nothing, and Rattletooth all played great despite I think everyone getting sick that night. F the flu. To read more in depth about it I wrote a couple mobile blogs on my blog. So go there (yea the link up above that says blog).

When I heard Take Control was calling it quits I was majorly bummed out. In the last 12 or so years of my hardcore experience I have seen many last shows, but nothing hit so close to home as seeing four of the best dudes I’ve ever met take the stage together for the last time. I don’t know if maybe it’s because I care about all these guys so much and it was so much more personal to me, or if it really was just all out madness, or a combination of the two, but I don’t think I’ve ever quite experience such an amazing last performance of any band ever. I remember when I first met these guys, instantly I hit it off with them and have been close ever since. Honestly I can say that they are some of the most genuine and sincere people I have ever met, not just in hardcore, but in my life.  From times spent at shows together to just hanging out to them giving us a place to crash when we were in town, I will always be thankful and love these guys like family. If you never got a chance to see a Take Control show I truly am sorry for you because they always played like it was the last show ever, they always gave it their all, and never failed to leave me wanting more. Ben, Doyle, Shawn, and Zach I love you all and wish you the best in all your future endeavours.
