About a month or so ago I shot some portriats of my good friend Phil Duple. He comes and guest spots at our shop often and it was the least I could do for him. Unfortunately it took me a bit to get them edited and up, but better late than never I guess?! -

New D300

So my friend Alex and I have officially started a photography business. The website will be up and running in a few days. We ordered a bunch of new gear and it all came in yesterday, so all day yesterday I was playing with my new Nikon D300. Wow it’s sick. I shot a few hundred photos yesterday using a few different lenses and an SB-900. Last night my friends in Scouts opened up for Taking Back Sunday at the Blue Note, and after the show we all partied at Sapphire Lounge. Scouts, Taking Back Sunday, and the other band (whose name slips my memory right now) were all there dancing and partying too. Lightbox works… My desk is broken and I have a headache.

Well after some input from Justin Scott I decided the other week to try and get a lightbox mod up and running… Failed. I tried a few days later… Failed… Today at about 11:45 I took the site down to really give this a shot… After getting super pissed, breaking part of my desk, and developing a massive head ache I now have it up and running, and all posts loaded with images from here on out will be sporting the lightbox mod. I also went back and updated the most recent photo shoot with Roxie from Q106 to be up to par with the lightbox ish.
So to show you what it basically runs like, heres the Hollywood Rebel Photo shoot from the other night. You can click each individual image and see it load, close it, and open another, or you can navigate through them with your arrow keys. All my sets/photos on the site in the future will be running like this with a link below to the album. Thank god
Note: Make sure my site is fully loaded before you click on pictures, otherwise they will load in a new window and not in the lightbox mod. By the time you finish reading a post the site should be fully loaded. Thank you.

Portrait Night at the Shop

Joe “Mothafuckin’” Cumbee came to town today to tattoo and hang out for a day or two, and I figured what better way to have some fun between tattoos at the shop then to shoot some photos of everyone after I got off work. It’s a relatively slow week here since all the students are gone, so we just had a good time and killed some photos with the gang. Alex purchased some wireless triggers for us to fool around with today and I shot with dual flashes tonight for the first time. It was a ton of fun and a learning experience as well.
