    Nothing to Nothing

Originally this show was supposed to be at Orr Street Studios, but apparently the girl who works there that helps us book our shows there quit, didn’t tell any of us, and the people at Orr Street canceled all her shows without telling anyone. So at the last minute (literally) we got in touch with the folks at Cafe Berlin and they let us have the show there. So a big thank you to those people for stepping up and helping out. The show was a blast, click the link below for some choice shots and links to all the sets.

Four years have gone by since I last snowboarded. Snowboarding used to be my life, it brought me more joy than anything else ever has, and I never quite realized it till recently. There is just something so free and creative about snowboarding, and it puts my mind at ease. I’ve missed it so much, and have been re-bitten by the snowboarding bug. This last week I was in Colorado, snowboarding at Keystone and Breckenridge. While I would have loved to take my camera out on the mountain and snap some photos, a few factors kept me from doing so. First and foremost, I didn’t want to risk damaging any of my equipment out on the slopes, but more importantly, I needed to just ride and be free from everything for a few days. It was bliss, it was euphoria, it was just what the doctor ordered I think. Regardless, you can’t ride the mountain all day, and when the sun goes down in the mountains, the evenings get wild. I partied with old friends, made some new friends, and took a bunch of photos of the partying along the way. A big thank you, and much appreciation to anyone who let me crash at their place this week, I owe you one!

Click the “View More…” link for a slide show and a direct link to the album on my flickr account. I posted some camera phone photos of the mountains and what not on my twitter.

    Kieli

Last week I went to California for my Grandpa’s 80th birthday party (Check that album out here). While I was there my Aunt Candi asked me if I’d take some senior portraits of my cousin Kieli. Some quick brainstorming and a last minute shoot and we came up with some really nice images.

    Liz

So in my constant effort to teach myself new techniques and expand on my portfolio I asked my friend Liz to accompany me to the Devil’s Ice Box for some photos yesterday afternoon. My good friend Alex came along who had a lot of bright ideas and we went to work. It was a good time and I was really happy with the shots we walked away with.

We had a huge party for Halloween, I set up a quick little “photo booth” and also roamed around and took photos… Unfortunately I partied a little too hard and too much and only took roughly 60 useable photos before I passed out. Click View More and check out the slide show or just hit the link that takes you to the album on flickr.

    Liz

I’ve been shooting a lot of random portraits recently trying to learn new techniques and expand on my portfolio. Luckily the weather gave us a break the other day and my new friend Liz agreed to model for a few shots for me. Liz was also part of the Rad Tank Tops photoshoot and is extremely photgenic and just an all around nice girl. I look forward to working with her again.
